Description

Morning at Jean Lake. We chose after Labor Day for backpacking in the High Uintas in Utah, to avoid the summer crowds and mosquitos. The downside is that at almost 11,000 feet, it gets cold at night. Nevertheless, I dragged myself out of the comfy warmth of my sleeping bag, knowing that morning light on Jean Lake would provide some interesting opportunities for photography. Because we had heavy packs anyway, I'd not brought my DSLR/tripod equipment, but even with my iPhone, I was pleased with the results.
